Darren has extensive experience in this field, having worked alongside celebrities such as Claudia Winkleman, Tess Daly and GB Olympic swimmer Mark Foster.
As you can hear from these examples the voice can be pre-recorded and played back, or the voice of God (VOG) can attend the event, voicing live. At the events, the VOG will work with the production team, lighting and sound crew and the Show Caller, who’s essentially the director cueing the lights, music, slides, videos and of course the announcer.
Although the announcements need to be clear and authoritative, that does not necessarily mean bombastic. More and more, a natural style is favoured. The voice, unless it’s a style choice does not have to be forced.
